This work shows several cloned avatars, each standing in a separate box/screen, repeatedly performing restrictive poses in a loop in their isolated virtual environment.
The animation visually and acoustically captures the state of long-lasting social isolation from the perspective of these women, who seem to resemble the virtual counterparts, their digital characters, the avatars.
These are often designed as optimized and sexualized female figures and embody regressive stereotypes.
In this animation female avatars pose and repeat in an endless loop, simple patterns of movement attributed to female characters on standard websites.
